Magik Trix

As you start.Wow your friends, or your Kuul Frindz, with these tricks you'll be amazed! REMEMBER if you don't see to many tricks th list will grow. The Magik Trix are listed below:

  1. Amazing Pepper in a pool trick:

Supplies: a small bowl
waterFinish!
pepper
dish washing liquid

Start by putting some water in the bowl. Next put some pepper in the water. Make shure you don't put to much pepper in the bowl just about enough to litely cover the surface of the water, or it will go wrong! Before you show your friend put some dish washing liquid on your finger. You don't tell him this. Ask your friend to put his finger in the bowl, nothing happens. Put your finger in and hold it there a while, then take it out. The pepper will speed to the edges of the bowl. Because you had the dish washing liquid on your finger it made a chemical reaction, but don't tell your friend that. You and your friends will say, "That's AMAZING!"

2. Money Talks Trick:

Supplies: a coffee mug with handle
a friend who knows the trick
an audience

To do this you and your friend must work out the trick. Here is how it goes. You tell the audience, that money talks to you. They say, "no way!" You ask the audience to give your friend a random coin, but look at it. You go into another room. Now here is the trick. Your friend puts it under the mug, but he turns it so the handle poits a certain way. You have to work out which way the handle goes to mean which coin, before the show. For example, pretend forward meant a quarter and the handle was facing forward. You would walk in and look at the mug and tell what coin it was by the way the handle was turned. Then your friend would take the coin out from under the mug, and the audience will be AMAZED!!

3. Kuul Card trick:

Supplies: a deck of cards
two volunteers, who don't know the trick

The magician gives two volunteers each half a deck of cards and leaves the room (or turns his back). Each volunteer choses a card from the OTHER person's deck, memorizes and shows it to the audience. The volunteers put the cards they chose into their own deck. The magician takes each of the decks and spreads them out on the table and tells the audience what the cards were.

Secret:

You need to split the deck into cards with a flat (or sharp) top and cards with a round top (the 3 is usually made with a flat top, but sometimes is rounded... look at your deck to figure out which pile it should be in for your trick)Round Top: 3,4,5,7,J,K,A Cards

Sharp Top: 2,6,8,9,10,Q Cards
You might want to reread the trick so it makes since to you.

4. Card Trick 2
Magician lays out 11 cards and asks a volunteer to move several cards over from the right side to the left side while the magician's back is to the cards so he/she doesn't see how many. Then, when the volunteer is done the magician turns back around. He/she waves his hand over the cards and turns over one of the cards. The number on the card is the number of cards the volunteer moved.

Supplies:

11 cards from a regular deck of 52. Take 1 joker, an ace and all the numbers up to 10

Secret:

Lay out the cards face down in this order: 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A, J, 10, 9, 8, 7 (A is Ace and J is Joker). Then have someone move the cards one at a time from right to left. Say they moved three cards (the magician wouldn't know it though) the position of the cards would now be 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, A, J, 10 Then wave your hand over the cards and silently count 7 cards over from left to right. Turn the 7th card over. It's the three!!! It doesn't matter how many cards they move over, this will always work. Always count 7 cards over (starting with the setup above) and it'll be the number of cards they moved. If they decide not to move any at all the card will be a Joker and this tells you they didn't move any at all.

5. Calculation equals mind reading

Supplies: a volunteer
a book

To start ask your volunteer to choose any random word in a book. Then ask him/her to do the following equasions, preferably on a calculator.

  1. Multiply the page number by 100
  2. Add 25
  3. Add the line number
  4. Multiply by 100
  5. Add the word's position in the line, for example:
Taking up almost an entire wall was a map of Tremble County. Count the words from the beginning of the line, to the of and add that to the equasion.

Ask your volunteer to give you his/her total, then subtract 2,500 from it. Your result is a
numerical map to his/her chosen word, EXAMPLE:

1,613,002 (Random total)
- 2,500
1,610,502 (think of this number without the commas)

The green digits, show where the word falls in the line, the red digits show the line number, and the orange digits, tell you the page number.

Pretend to consentrate hard, then flip to your volunteers page. Watch your volunteer be Amazed!
